I try the tenderloin sandwich and it was outstanding. Juicy, crispy on the outside and delicious. It was too big and couldnt eat the entire thing The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was so welcoming and felt like home immediately Definitely a place to go back too

My wife and son wanted a great place for brunch, we arrived and were seated quickly. The Cubbard was full. The server took are drink order and told us about the specials for the day. Server did a good job taking order and making sure food was to order. Food was served hot and as requested. The owner stopped by to check to make sure everyone was happy with the meals. Excellent food at a fair price. Excellent customer service.

This spot may be the definition of a little hidden gem. It has textbook small town charm including friendly servers, locals who are on a first name basis with the staff, an old school pharmacy and Hallmark store in the front of the building, and great food. They offer daily specials, and though they serve breakfast through their 2:00 closing, we ordered lunch. The Patty Melt was perfectly done - locally sourced beef, onions, special sauce on grilled rye with fries (my preference would have been for the onions to be cooked a bit more but it was still delicious). The chili cheeseburger was served in a bowl on a pretzel roll with fries. All delicious! We got dessert to go - Apple pie and pistachio muffins. Can't wait to try these this evening. Our first visit was a big success and we are already looking forward to going back!

Excellent food. Excellent service and excellent cooks. Hole in the wall with fun ambiance. In the back of the Cowan pharmacy, just a sandwich board on the street letting you know the special of the day. Table and bar seating. Serve breakfast until they close but the lunch is awesome too.

Date of visit: July 12, 2024 We stopped here on the way down to South Carolina for a funeral. I was looking for something simple and easy, comfort food given the reason for our visit down south. The cafe is not very large, or very fancy, but the staff was incredibly accommodating, including providing some things to do for the little ones in our group that were starting to get restless. The food was just okay, and while not really anything that I couldn't have done at home, the price was good and the location is in the middle of a super cute downtown area that reminded me of the town from Back to the Future (it's that cute!). One downside? The bathroom reminds me of something out of a lower-end gas station and definitely needs some help.

The food and service were fabulous. We got the tenderloin and it was massive! AND delicious!

What a hidden gem! Located in the back of a drugstore in downtown Lebanon. Fantastic place for breakfast. Brunch , and baked sweets. Has a nostalgic diner feel to it and the servers are awesome and friendly. Very reasonable prices. Take cash- 4 % up charge for plastic.

Great and affordable food, cool vibe, and down-to-earth servers. I'd eat at The Cubbard every day if I could!

The Cubbard serves a very satisfying BLT. The menu description states six strips of bacon, but the lettuce and tomato were straining to be seen past the mound of bacon on this sandwich. What a perfectly proportioned amount of ingredients between to delicious slices of bread. The accompanying fries were crinkle cut, hot and plentiful. The service was great and quick. The dining area is cozy and comfortable in that you feel like one of the regular customers. Next time I need to try the "Daily Special", which seems to fly out of the kitchen.

Just opened!!! The Cupboard is the diner located in Cowan's Drugstore on the Square in Lebanon (replacing Max's Cupboard which closed last December). The small dining room has had a face lift with fresh floor, paint and table cloths, but maintains the small town charm of a locally owned business. One of the co-owners, Dan Cheech was cooking during our visit. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and offers daily specials. They bake fresh pies, scones and cinnamon rolls daily. You can get a burger, tenderloin or chicken sandwich but the show stopper was the BLT, which is generously covered in "B". I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was breast meat in a very crispy batter served on a fresh brioche roll. The fries were crispy crinkle cuts and I was happy they were lightly salted. The daily special was a Sloppy Joe with fries for $8. The sandwich was served on a brioche roll with a generous portion of sloppy Joe and fries on the side. The Lemon Custard pie was homemade with a light crust and very sweet with a light cream topping. Service was great, Caitlyn checked on us frequently. Food and beverages came out quickly. The place filled up quickly with locals, so get there early. They do pick-up orders if you want. Parking can be tough, but you can usually find a spot on the square.
